My maternal grandmother was Helen Francis (Coyle) Gardner and her father was Michael Coyle, born in Ireland. They are my connection to the Coyle family. Other surnames associated with this family are: Mullane, English, Cunningham, Gibney and Brady.

Michael Coyle b. 1870 in Ireland

Michael Coyle, son of Patrick & Margaret (Brady) Coyle, was born 24 November 1870 in Ireland. He came to America, alone, as a young man and lived in New York City. His parents came later and settled in Connecticut. He married Mary Josephine Mullane in New York City. They had seven children: Helen, Francis, Marion, Marguerite, Thomas, Lillian & Kathleen. Michael was a baker. 
Michael is at the center of one of my top genealogical mysteries. He left his family in the mid 1920s, never to be heard from again. After he left, his son, Thomas, left too.  At this time I have been unable to uncover what happened to either of these men.
